What is your answer to this question?

Do you expect your marriage to last 5-7 years? What about 7-10 years? 25+ years, or Forever?

It you answered “forever” – this is a rare answer. Why? In today’s culture one out of every two marriages ends in divorce. Even Christians often expect marriage to have a high mortality rate.

However, if we as Christians expect marital love to be temporary instead of forever, then we are expecting too little of ourselves and far too little of Christ, whom we claim by our very name, dwells in us. Marriage should and can last forever.

We believe God knew us before we were formed in our mother’s womb and that He knew us, as a couple, before we were formed as one in marriage. We believe that when He birthed us as a covenant couple we became “covenant-bearers” and that God views us from an eternal perspective. We believe that God is always at work, even now, seeking to build His kingdom and is actively involved in our lives.
